Lonnie’s is great. This time it was to fix a floppy manual shifter in an old subaru. I have been going to them for many years since they merged with Jim Hawkins Autocare, where i had going for decades, and where Lonnie used to work my old beetle. Tried to replace the USB hub on my Mazda myself today but couldn’t get it done — even managed to hurt my hand in the process. Lonnie is the best!! My friend and I took our car here right before they closed because the engine was overheating and we didn’t think it would make it anywhere else! They were so nice and scanned our car for us and said we could wait in the office for a tow truck to come and get the car! Lonnie’s is the BEST! From oil changes to inspections to brake jobs to, most recently, user error they are competent, responsible, friendly folks who always do a good job. I have an older model sportscar and while she’s not very temperamental I do like having a mechanic I can trust. Lonnie’s guys always shoot straight with me and on more than one occasion have been honest when they could have been predatory — among the reasons I keep going back.
